Description

This dataset includes physicochemical parameters of two Mexican subtropical reservoirs with contrasting trophic states. The reservoirs "Lago de Guadalupe" (LG) , hypereutrophic, and "Presa del Llano" (LL), mesotrophic, were sampled during three characteristics seasons. Parameters include temperature, oxidation-reduction potential, salinity, total organic carbon, total inorganic carbon, total nitrogen, orthophospates, Secchi disk depth, Schmidt number, and thermocline depth. The dataset also includes measurements of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and methane fluxes (atmospheric exchange), uptake/consumption rates, and dissolved gas concentrations profiles, the latter with high spatial resolution. The collected data was used to perform a mass balance of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and methane in order to assess simultaneously the impact of trophic state on these three molecules.
