Raw datasets of the conchological structure composed of fragmented and whole empty shells, observed during the summer of 2020 in Santos Beach (Brazil), according to sector (damp or wet), tide (neap or spring), transect (sampling structure), zone (depostion or erosion) and field trip (date of collection event). DATASET 1: totais.txt - abundances in weight and in number within each sampling unit (rows), regardless of species. DATASET 2: comm.txt - abundances in number within each sampling (rows), where each column is a different species. Not all observations are independent, since one should take into account the nesting of the sampling design: transect within zone within fieldtrip (variable 'saida' in the data files).
