Description
This dataset contains bibliographic records retrieved from the Scopus database related to journalism and media research in Indonesia, covering publications from 2006 to 2026. The dataset was compiled following the PRISMA 2020 protocol for systematic literature reviews (identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages). The dataset consists of two files: Data_Scopus_fixed.xlsx — the raw bibliographic dataset as retrieved from Scopus, containing metadata fields such as authors, title, year, source title, publisher, DOI, ISSN, volume, issue, page range, citation count, citations per year, citations per author, author count, article age, and abstract. Data_Scopus_filtered.xlsx — the filtered dataset containing records that passed the PRISMA 2020 screening and eligibility stages and were included in the final review. This dataset can be reused for bibliometric analysis, citation trend mapping, meta-research on journalism and communication studies, or replication of the systematic literature review process.

Steps to reproduce
Database selection: The Scopus database was selected as the primary source for bibliographic records. Search string construction: A structured search query was formulated combining terms related to journalism/press and Indonesia, restricted to the publication period 2006–2026. Identification: The search was executed in Scopus, and all matching records were exported, including metadata fields such as authors, title, year, source title, publisher, DOI, ISSN, volume, issue, page range, citation count (ECC), citations per year, citations per author, author count, article age, and abstract. This raw export is provided as Data_Scopus_fixed.xlsx. Screening: Records were screened following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, involving: Identification — duplicate records removed. Screening — titles and abstracts reviewed against inclusion/exclusion criteria (e.g., relevance to journalism/media research, Indonesian context, document type, language). Eligibility — full-text assessment of remaining records against predefined criteria. Inclusion — final set of records retained for the systematic literature review. Filtering and export: Records that passed the screening and eligibility stages were compiled into Data_Scopus_filtered.xlsx. Data availability: Both files (Data_Scopus_fixed.xlsx and Data_Scopus_filtered.xlsx) are provided so that other researchers can trace the full identification-to-inclusion process and replicate or extend the review.
