Description

Please read the following manuscript for appreciate background on datasets. The manuscript title and publication is: John Rotella, Adam L. Pilchak, Michael D. Sangid, Examining the pathways for deformation band formation at the mesoscale, Materials Characterization, 2021, 111552, ISSN 1044-5803, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.matchar.2021.111552. The following datasets are organized as MATLAB structure files. Each dataset contains digital image correlation, electron backscatter diffraction, and percolated threshold strain data for a single specimen. Percolated strain data is for 0.3%, 0.6% and 0.9% maximum in-plane shear strain. Within the structure files, CombinedData.() are two types of data, matrix and position. The matrix data is 1000 x 1000 elements and all data spatially correlates to the area of interest. The position data, GBx and GBy, are the spatial positions within the area of interest of the grain boundaries. Instead of using GBx and GBy, utilize the GBMask variable to plot the grain boundaries.
