This research is conducted to obtain information about (1) residents’ perceptions of the importance of forests and the rationale behind their forest trees of choice, (2) how forests contribute as a source of livelihood, (3) potential for households’ engagement in REDD+. This dataset can be useful for research scientists or environmentalists or policymakers who want to keep the public informed about current affairs of forests-based rural livelihood and REDD+ associated with farmers’ participation conditions and devise appropriate forest protection and development policies nationwide.
