The present data corresponds to a 2,031 SNPs data set generated by GBS technique with NGS technology. The objectives of the study were: to evaluate the population structure and genetic diversity of six Platonia insignis mart. sampled areas present in the two main biomes of occurrence, the Amazon Forest and the Cerrado, as well as to highlight useful information for the development of actions for the conservation of the species; and identify markers that may be associated with selection and adaptation to different environments.
