Description

Results of an analysis on a database of vessel accidents in port areas are here collected. The data were gathered within the framework of the project ISY PORT (Integrated SYstem for navigation risk mitigation in PORTs). The analysis includes distribution of accidents in port areas categorized by age of the ship at the time of the accident, ship’s category, causality event, weather conditions and number of fatalities/injured/lost at sea.
