Description

Supplementary material associated with the manuscript : "Upscaling of solute plumes in periodic porous media through a trajectory based spatial Markov model" by Emanuela Bianchi Janetti, Thomas Sherman, Gael Guedon, Diogo Bolster and Giovanni Porta. The folder '1. Input Data' contains the geometry of the unit cell (the solid and fluid phases are identified by an indicator I = 1 in the pore space and I = 0 in the solid pixel) and the fluid velocity. The folder '2. Model outputs' inlcudes the key outputs of the tSMM and their counterparts obtained with Direct Numerical Simulation, in particular: the joint propability distribution, P(x,y,t), and the marginal distributions, P(t) and P(y). The folder '3. Error Analysis' inlcudes the average Hellinger Distances evaluated for analysing the the impact of parameters NB and dt on the accuracy of the tSMM. All results are associated with Pe numbers 100 and 1000.
