Description

Data on methyl acetate emissions from poplar (Populus trichocarpa) detached leaves, detached branches and in-tact saplings to investigate the effect of drought and temperature on emissions. Data collected from PTR-MS (proton transfer reaction-mass spectrometry) and Licor 7000. 13C acetate and 13C methanol were fed to detached branches and emissions monitored with PTR-MS to calculate isotopolgues of 13C methyl acetate. Interpretation of data and detailed methods are published in MDPI Plants: "Are methanol-derived foliar methyl acetate emissions a tracer of acetate-mediated drought survival in plants?'
