Description

Summary dataset (in Matlab table format) and analysis codes (Matlab .m files) for Grieves, Jedidi-Ayoub, Mishchanchuk, Liu, Renaudineau, Duvelle and Jeffery (2021) Irregular distribution of grid cell firing fields in rats exploring a 3D volumetric space, Nature Neuroscience. The methods used to collect the data can be found in this paper. Spike and LFP data are provided in a summarised format in the sdata.mat file. Each row of this file represents a trial. On average rats completed 3 trials per day/session (2 arena trials and a lattice maze trial between them). Behavioural data, tracking data and general session information is provided in the bdata.mat file. Each row of this file also represents a trial. The script 'gridtest.m' performs two functions, first it can run through every row of these tables and analyse the data/add information to the table. Second, it can produce the main figures used in the paper given these tables.
