Description

This data is for the feasibility study for the introduction of Mobility as a Service in a Suburban area like in Kusatsu and Otsu in Shiga, Japan which are bed towns for bigger cities in the region like Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe. This data contains the personal characteristics of residents of Otsu/Kusatsu cities, their daily travel behavior, preferences and choice for MaaS/subscription based transport services. We examine their choices on the premise that frequent trip makers and those in the higher income class are most likely to try out a new transport scheme should it be introduced. This study helps to understand the acceptability and potential demand for the implementation of MaaS.
