Pore sizes, porosity, and surface area of TPMS-based scaffold
Description
This dataset enabled the researchers to design the tissue engineering scaffold computationally with a specific porosity and pore size by choosing the scaffold pattern (TPMS, or the customized implicit function), ω, and t. The TPMS-based scaffolds were generated from the marching cube algorithm (https://github.com/nodtem66/Scaffolder). The pore sizes (minimum Feret diameter and maximum Feret diameter), porosity (1 -scaffold volume / original volume), and surface area were acquired by the slice contour technique and geometric algorithm. The two parameters: angular frequency (ω) and iso-level (t), were introduce to customize the TPMS functions. Steps to reproduce
1. Build or download the Scaffolder program (https://github.com/nodtem66/Scaffolder) 2. Run the program with -m option. For example, scaffolder.exe cube20mm.stl -n <pattern_name> -c <freq> -t <iso-level> -g <grid_size> -m -q --format csv 3. The result CSV file will be generated.
