Steps to reproduce
Single-copy orthologous genes were identified as defined by OrthoMCL,75 before aligning multiple single-copy genes in MUSCLE. For phylogenomic analysis of angiosperms, the genomes of 281 angiosperms, two pteridophytes, and three gymnosperms were collected. Besides genomes of Apinia mutica, other plant genomes were downloaded from public databases (Table S9). BUSCO analysis was performed for each genome on the basis of 425 single-copy genes.
