The data presented in this work correspond to the records associated with the process that determines the type of procedure that physicians must perform on women who will give birth by mode of delivery (i.e., delivery or cesarean section). For the data analysis, a group of 302 patients were randomly taken between the years 2018-2019-2020 from the obstetrics and gynecology unit of the Hospital de Talca (HRT), Chile. The pregnant patients have measured 18 variables related to the entire process, and according to the criteria of the experts in the area, are part of the decision. With the raw records, it is possible to understand the different activities, perform descriptive statistics and analyzes that allow supporting the management of the health team about decision-making associated with deliveries and cesarean sections for the direct benefit of patients and their newborns.
