Description

In our research work, against the background of studying the biodiversity of the southern region of Azerbaijan in modern environmental conditions, the gene pool of Caucasian persimmon species (Diospyros lotus. L) belonging to the persimmon genus (Diospyros L) was determined. The genetic resources of the Caucasian persimmon (Diospyros lotus L), belonging to the persimmon genus (Diospyros L) in the biodiversity of the region, were determined and the ways of protection and sustainable use of the gene pool of this species were studied. Based on the study of bioecological characteristics, the place of the studied species in the regional biodiversity, the distribution areas, the natural and anthropogenic factors affecting it, and the reasons for its reduction were established. It has been established that in the biodiversity of the region in various populations, according to morphological, biological and economic indicators, there are different forms of the Caucasian persimmon species (Diasporus lotus. L). The main reasons for the appearance of such a difference are: the mildness of the climate of the LankaranAstara region, the abundance of rainy and sunny days, the positive effect of humid air mass and soil fertility. Depending on the temperature and mineral composition of the soil, the conception and intensity of the flowering process of the Caucasian persimmon (Diasporus lotus. L) in the foothills of the Lankaran-Astara region decreases as it rises above sea level.
