Description

This dataset contains three annually laminated and well-replicated stalagmite δ18O records from Shihua (SH), Heshang (HS), and Dongge (DG) caves in eastern China, covering the period 850–2000 CE. These records were used to reconstruct the non-stationary evolution of East Asian summer monsoon (EASM) rainfall spatial patterns over the last millennium. The dataset also includes the segmented principal component (PC1div) and the full-millennium principal component (PC13syn) derived from these records, as well as the segmental average (AVGdiv) for comparison. The PC1div record captures the dominant mode of EASM rainfall spatial patterns within four climatically coherent epochs (850–1349, 1350–1581, 1582–1807, 1808–2000 AD), reflecting meridional displacements of the monsoon frontal rainfall belt.
