Description

This repository provides the complete replication package for the study, including raw and processed datasets, data-cleaning codes, estimation codes, and supplementary materials required to reproduce all empirical results presented in the paper. The data and codes support analyses on the long-term behavioural consequences of exposure to macroeconomic crises and the moderating role of welfare state generosity. Users are advised to update local file paths specified in the scripts before replication.

The replication package contains the processed datasets and codes necessary to reproduce all empirical results reported in the manuscript. Replication Instructions: 1. Download and extract all files contained in the replication package. 2. Update all file paths in the Stata do-file to match the local directory structure on your computer. 3. Install the required software packages: * Stata 18 (or later) 4. Execute Risk_Preference_do_file.do, which calls all subsidiary codes required for data cleaning, variable construction, estimation, and output generation. 5. The codes reproduce all tables and figures presented in the paper and stores them in a designated output folder.
