Lake Suzana (LSZ) - Rio Negro, Amazonia
Description
This dataset contains sedimentological, geochemical, isotopic, physical, and accumulation data from sediment core LSZ 11-19 collected in Lake Suzana, a floodplain lake located on the left margin of the Rio Negro downstream of the Rio Negro–Rio Branco confluence, northern Amazonia, Brazil. The record spans approximately the last 3500 cal yr BP and includes grain-size distributions, bulk organic geochemistry, stable isotopes, sedimentary pigments, XRF elemental composition, water content, porosity, dry bulk density, age-depth information, sedimentation rates, and carbon and nitrogen accumulation data. The dataset was generated to reconstruct changes in hydrological connectivity, sediment supply, organic matter sources, lacustrine productivity, and carbon accumulation during the Late Holocene.
