Mindfulness exercises in elementary science curriculum

Description

The files include data of 460 students from 4th and 5th grade classes. The experimental group engaged in mindfulness activities within the framework of 10 science lessons, while in the control group science lessons were taught as usual. Data was collected at 3 time points: before, after and after a six-month follow-up period. Data is coded in long format. The variables measured were: MAAS_rev = Mindful Attention Awareness Scale, reversed scale PALS-MG = Patterns of Adaptive Learning Scales (PALS): Mastery goal orientation PALS-AP = Patterns of Adaptive Learning Scales (PALS): Performance-Approach Goal Orientation PALS-AV = Patterns of Adaptive Learning Scales (PALS), Performance-Avoid Goal Orientation SRQ-I = Self-Regulation Questionnaire-Academic (SRQ-A): Intrinsic motivation SRQ-E = Self-Regulation Questionnaire-Academic (SRQ-A): Extrinsic motivation MOT = Science Motivation Questionnaire GR = Science grades KN = Science Knowledge Test (in separate file.
