Description

The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the experience of work on the automation of the PCR laboratory studies on COVID-19. Automation is carried out on the platform of the SmartLAB Kazakhstan laboratory information system, which is fully adapted for the PCR laboratory and covers all laboratory processes from registration to the issuance of results, including integration with information systems of the government. Forms of results issued to patients contain a QR code that allows you to verify the reliability of the result. Furthermore, the information systems of state bodies exercise control and supervision over the regulation of the epidemiological situation in the country. For this, it keeps records of each PCR study within the country. Furthermore, LIS helps to reduce the issuance of PCR results, namely, after the receipt of the biomaterial to the laboratory, the patient receives the result in 4 hours online, and information about the development exported to the information systems of government agencies, activating the patient's status in Ashyq systems, Travel without Covid-19. The presented work results from the complete automation of the PCR laboratories in Kazakhstan (cities Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Karaganda, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Atyrau, Aktau).
