Supplemental materials for, Title: Longitudinal Brush Pigmentation on the Hyponychium, a Dermoscopic Feature Observed in Pediatric Nail Matrix Nevi." Authors: Jongeun Lee, MD, Sewon Park, MD, Dongyoun Lee, MD, PhD Kee-Taek Jang, MD, PhD and Eun Ji Kwon, MD Supplementary figure 1: Dermoscopy images of 15 melanonychia cases with longitudinal brush pigmentation. All cases show Hutchinson’s sign at the hyponychium with longitudinal brush pigmentation which is aligned parallel to the longitudinal direction. Supplementary figure 2: Clinical image of patient #10 (A-C) and patient #3 (D-G). (A) Melanonychia is seen on the right 3rd fingernail. (B) Hutchinson’s signs on both proximal nail fold and hyponychium are observed. (C) 3 mm-punch biopsy at hyponychium with LBP reveals a nested growth pattern of banal melanocytes predominantly at the dermo-epidermal junction. H&E X200. (D) Melanonychia accompanying nail dystrophy is seen on the left 4th fingernail. (E) Dermoscopic image shows longitudinal brush pigmentation on the hyponychium. (F) 3 mm-punch biopsy on LBP initially showed some melanocytes with slight atypia, however revealed a nested growth pattern of banal melanocytes in subsequent serial sections (G). H&E X200.
