Description

This dataset supports the manuscript “Evaluation model for spatial variability of ground motions between adjacent sites using heterogeneous soil parameters” submitted to Soil Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering. It contains finite element method (FEM) surface-response waveforms, processed spatial-variability values derived from FEM simulations and Chiba Array records, model-index values L, L0, and LMR, Chiba Array processing conditions and time-window sensitivity data, saturation-depth data, and PDF versions of the figures used in the manuscript and supplementary material. Raw Chiba Array time-history records are not included because they are distributed by a third-party data provider. Complete three-dimensional FEM meshes, full random-field property distributions, and full-node time-history outputs are not included because of their large data volume.

Steps to reproduce

1. Download the dataset and preserve the directory structure. 2. Read README.md and file_manifest.csv for the directory structure, file descriptions, and processing conditions. 3. Use the CSV files in data/spatial_variability/ and data/saturation_depth/ to reproduce the corresponding numerical plots and verify the goodness-of-fit statistics reported in the manuscript and supplementary material. 4. Refer to figures_pdf/ to identify the correspondence between the supplied data and the figure panels.
