Description

A meta-analysis on SOC stocks compared between annual and perennial crops within the same experiments by reviewing and synthesizing the existing available evidence about perennialization. The specific objectives of the study were to: (1) assess the performance of the perennial crops compared with annual crops (either as monoculture or crop rotation) in terms of SOC stock changes; (2) explore the temporal effect of perennialization on SOC stock difference compared with the effect of annual crops; (3) study the effects of abiotic factors (soil, climate, and plant properties) on the SOC stock changes.
