Description

These files are the output data of the WRF model simulations in a study entitled "A New Warm-Cloud Collection and Breakup Parameterization Scheme for Weather and Climate Models" which is currently (June 2021) submitted to Journal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems. The files with their names starting with "RICO_" are the output data of the shallow cumuli field simulations in Section 4 in this study. The files with their names starting with "single_" are the output data of the single warm convective cloud simulations in Section 5 in this study. The files with "time_mean" in their names contain time-averaged fields of output variables used in this study. The files with "time_series" in their names contain time series of area-averaged output variables used in this study. "new", "K13", "SB06", and "bin" at the last of the variable names denote the new scheme developed in this study, the Kogan (2013) scheme, the Seifert and Beheng (2006) scheme, and a bin scheme, respectively. Variables with their names starting with "MI_" are microphysical process rates. For example, "MI_RAUT" and "MI_RACW" are the production rate of rainwater mass via autoconversion and accretion, respectively, and "MI_NRCOL" is the depletion rate of raindrop number via raindrop self-collection and collisional breakup.
