Description

Gene expression data of nodules, leaves and roots of the model plant Medicago truncatula treated either with ammonium or nitrate. The data show the differential gene expression of active nodules when they are treated with an alternative source of nitrogen. The main hypothesis of this experiment was that nitrate exerts an additional local effect on the nodule activity, and that is modulated through the gene expression while the effect of ammonium is not local but a more systemic effect. This latter effect probably mediated by an increase of nitrogen concentration in the shoots. The data set is a compilation of several analyses which were obtained by RNAseq. Detailed information can be seen in each Excel sheet description.
