Description

The data consists of three variables: tax revenues, government expenditure and GDP of Japan over the 1960-2016 period. The revenue variable is defined as the total tax revenues, including direct and indirect taxes, less social security contributions. The expenditure variable is defined as the total government expenditure less net interest payments. All these variables are expressed in logarithm, per capita, and real terms. The data was collected from OECD’s Economic Outlook Projections database.
