Description

Factorial dataset (3³) for fused-deposition-modelled polycaprolactone scaffolds. 27 runs: extrusion temperature 70–90 °C, screw speed 8–12 rpm, printing speed 10–20 mm s⁻¹. Raw DSC, tensile, XRD, AFM and melt-flow data plus Python scripts for response-surface maps. Used to identify the decoupling of Young’s modulus from crystallinity above 85 °C. CC BY 4.0 licence.

Steps to reproduce

1. Dry PCL pellets (45 kDa) at 40 °C overnight. 2. Run 3³ factorial: extrusion 70–90 °C, screw 8–12 rpm, print 10–20 mm s⁻¹ (27 combinations). 3. DSC: 0 → 100 °C at 10 °C min⁻¹, integrate 45–65 °C; χc = ΔHm / 139.5 J g⁻¹. 4. Tensile: ASTM D638 IV, 5 mm min⁻¹, E = 0.05–0.25 % strain.
