Description

Here are gathered the different polynomial functions that estimate the performance of a small scale centrifugal compressor. Different sets of function have been performed as a function of the specific speed ns, specific diameter ds, pressure ratio PR, blade height ratio zeta=b4/r4 and shroud to tip radius eps=r2s/r4. These polynomial functions are valid for R134a (Folder "valid for R134a"). To be valid with other organic fluids (R245fa, R600a, R152a), the clearance ratio CR must be added as an additional variable (Folder "valid for multiple fluids"). For more information about the methodology of the pre-design model, its boundaries and other features, please refer to the following thesis "POTENTIAL AND CHALLENGES OF ORC DRIVEN HEAT PUMPS BASED ON GAS BEARING SUPPORTED TURBOMACHINERY, V.Mounier, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, 2018"
