Description

This dataset contains geospatial and tabular data (.shp, .csv) analyzing the relationship between land-use conflicts and wildfire occurrences in the Uberaba River Environmental Protection Area (EPA), Brazil (2013–2023). Data includes: Land-Use Conflict Shapefiles (shapes dos conflitos): Annual polygons of land-use conflict areas (Classes 1 and 2), generated using MapBiomas and EMBRAPA data. Annual Fire Hotspot Tables (tabelas de foco anual): Raw records of active fire hotspots detected within the EPA (Source: INPE). Processed Distance Analysis Data (gdf_focos_proj_dist_conflito): Integrated geospatial file linking each fire hotspot to its nearest conflict zone distance, used for the main statistical analysis.

Steps to reproduce

1. Generate Conflict Maps: Land-Use Conflict (LUCI) polygons (shapes dos conflitos) were generated annually (2013-2023) by cross-referencing MapBiomas land cover data with EMBRAPA agricultural suitability maps. 2. Process Fire Data: Raw fire hotspots (Source: INPE) were filtered to include only points within the Uberaba River EPA boundary (tabelas de foco anual). 3. Analyze Distance: The Euclidean distance was calculated from each fire hotspot (Step 2) to the nearest conflict polygon (Step 1), creating the final analysis file (gdf_focos_proj_dist_conflito). 4. Statistical Validation: The processed distance file (Step 3) was used as the primary input for the Logistic Regression and ANOVA to model fire probability.
