Description

This dataset provides annual panel data on renewable internal freshwater resources per capita (measured in cubic meters) for 15 Eastern African nations: Burundi, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The data spans the historical period 1961–2022 and was sourced from Our World in Data (2026). It was prepared to support sequential spatiotemporal analysis and forecasting using the 'Saylac' R package. Historical gaps were resolved via linear interpolation to ensure continuity for longitudinal modeling. This dataset underpins the study "Integrated spatiotemporal forecasting reveals persistent disparities in renewable internal freshwater resources across Eastern Africa."
