Description

Data relating to the collection of CRN samples from boulders on moraines on the lower flanks of the Butler and Brabizon Downs in the Rangitata Valley New Zealand. The study aimed to test whether the moraines related to one or many glacial advances and recessions. The study in QSR shows that the moraine sequence on the lower flank of the valley relates to a retreat of a single glacier at the end of the last ice age. It shows gradual ice evacuation from this area between c 21 and c 17 ka.
