Description

The study was conducted among 320 nurses working in a tertiary care teaching hospital from March 2023 until June 2023 after institutional ethical committee approval (IEC No. 02/2023/46). All the nurses who were directly involved in patient care were recruited for the study after obtaining their informed consent. Qualified nurses who were willing to participate were included, and those who did not complete the post-test were excluded from the study. We used the PZ-PUKT questionnaire (2021 version) for data collection. The questionnaire was given to all the nurses in an electronic format one week before the commencement of classes, which was considered as the pre-test. The standard PZPUKT scale was administered according to the guidelines provided by the authors. To limit the number of mistakes and missing questions when using the paper form, the scale was tested using electronic form. Out of the 72 questions, 21 dealt with staging, 20 with wounds, and 31 with prevention. There were 42 true questions and 30 false ones. The 72 items were scored individually for each segment, and a cumulative score was also computed. Questions were given a score of 1 for the correct answer. A score of 0 was given if the answer was wrong or marked as "don't know
