BACKGROUND: The significance of scientific research in advancing the field of physiotherapy and the role of student in contributing to its growth .it discuss the lack of emphasis on research in Indian Physiotherapy education and the potential impact on the profession development AIM: The aim is to explore the attitude of Indian physiotherapy student towards scientific research, aiming to understand their perception, motivation, and challenges in engaging with research activities METHODS AND MATERIALS: This was survey research in which 350 physiotherapy Student aged 20 to 50 years old completed an online survey. The questionnaire was sent via a URL shared through social media applications, emails, and internet forums. The responses obtained from each participant were examined using Google Forms to establish normality. RESULT: 350 physiotherapy student individuals responded to the questionnaire. Out of 350 responses 42.9%student agree,21.62%strongly agree, and 9.42%disagree,whereas,1.94%strongly disagree CONCLUSION: Analysing the perspective of Indian physiotherapy students on scientific research underscores the importance of cultivating a positive attitude towards research from an early stage. By recognizing and addressing factors influencing attitudes, such as mentorship programs and research-focused coursework, educational institutions can nurture a research-oriented culture among physiotherapy students. This proactive approach not only enriches their learning journey but also propels evidence-based practices and innovation within the Indian physiotherapy sector. Examining how Indian physiotherapy students view scientific research highlights how crucial it is to instill a favourable attitude toward research in them from an early age. Through the identification and management of factors that impact attitudes and the implementation of specific interventions like mentorship programs and coursework that emphasizes research, educational institutions can foster a culture of research participation among physiotherapy students. This proactive strategy enhances their educational experience while also advancing evidence-based practice and innovation in the Indian physiotherapy industry The study was done to identify Attitude of Indian physiotherapy student towards scientific research at the university. the student age 20-50 years. A total 350 response were recorded through the questionnaire. The participants included in this study were both and female ,158 (45.1%) male, and 192 (54.9%) were female participants. About 199 (56.9%) Student were BPT and 151 (43.1%) were MPT. The p value was 0.2 that indicates p<0.05. Data were collected by creating google form which include socio-demographic and questionnaire were circulated through social media like WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram. The online survey was carried out because it is more economical, resourceful, less time consuming, and require less effort. Student in normally distributed and the graph of student obtained in mesokurtic in nature. Distribution curve for demographic dimension for age is positive. And the normality is calculated using Kolmogorov Smirnov tool.Physiotherapy is academic and research profession, with student under significant mentally and physically pressure. As students often experience musculoskeletal strain due to prolonged periods of studying or practicing techniques in physically demanding environments important for ensuring their best performance. The present study aim to check the attitude of Indian physiotherapy student towards scientific research. In the present study ,350 student response to the questionnaire. The result of the study revealed that out of 350 Student ,42.9% student agree and 21.62% strongly agree 9.42% Disagree. Limitation of the study • Conducted at college level in India. • Depending on the participants concentration and mood response may differ. • Participants might not give accurate answer, which could affect the result. • The result of this study may not apply to other student of different age group because of the small age range in this study. Strength of the study: Indicate the incidence and probable of involvement of scientific research is enhances critical skill and research -oriented mindset is crucial for the continuous improvement of physiotherapy. Clinical relevance of the study To critically analyse research finding, fostering evidence-based practice. Embracing scientific inquiry equips them with the skills to innovate and adapt treatment, improving patient outcomes and advancing the profession
