Data from: Genome size is strongly linked to carbohydrate storage and weakly linked to root sprouting ability in herbs. Annals of Botany. doi: 10.1093/aob/mcad158 The dataset contains two spreadsheets (comma separated) and phylogenetic tree (newick format): 1) field_survey.csv, the file contains data on root sprouting ability and genome size of 172 herbaceous plant species (referred to as "field survey" in the paper) 2) phylogeny.txt, phylogenetic tree of the 172 species 3) pot_experiment.csv, the file includes carbohydrate and genome size measurements of the congeneric species grown in a greenhouse (referred to as "pot experiment" in the paper) See the paper for detailed information on how the data was gathered and how to interpret it.
