Research on E-Government Evaluation Methods: Classification by Subject, Object, and Indicators (2020-2024)
Description
This dataset contains a list of research papers discussing e-government evaluation methods and the analysis results based on subject, object, and indicators used. The selection of papers follows a protocol consisting of inclusion-exclusion criteria (in-ex criteria) and quality assessment criteria (QA). Only papers meeting all these criteria were selected for analysis. The analysis involved identifying the subject, object, and indicators used in the papers regarding the e-government evaluation processes. It classifies the diverse indicators into several domains. The analysis results indicate patterns in the use of indicators across various e-government evaluation studies based on the subjects and objects of evaluation.

The keywords used in the paper search were: "e-government" AND "measurement" OR "assessment" OR "evaluation" OR "index." There are nine in-ex criteria reviewed hierarchically, which include: 1. Indexed in Scopus OR WOS (search within Scopus and WOS databases) 2. Include keywords in article title/abstract/keywords 3. Publication range: 2020-present 4. Document type: article 5. Written in English (EN) 6. Open Access (OA) publication 7. Is a final published article 8. Article type: journal article 9. Not a review paper The selection for criteria 1 to 6 was performed automatically using filters on the indexing websites (Scopus and Web of Science/WoS), as both websites accommodate criteria 1 to 6 within their search filters. However, due to slightly different search interfaces, keyword searches for criterion 2 (include keywords in article title/abstract/keywords) were conducted for each respective field, namely for the title, abstract, and keywords fields. The results of these three searches were then checked for redundancy and combined. In contrast, on the Scopus indexing website, the search for criteria 1 to 6 can be conducted in a single search. The results from the Scopus and WoS indexing searches were subsequently checked for redundancy and merged. After this process, the papers that passed were assigned new IDs and underwent manual selection for criteria 7 to 9. This manual review also checked whether any selected papers did not meet criteria 1-6, in which case they would be disqualified. Next, papers that met all in-ex criteria 1-9 were re-selected using the quality assessment criteria (QA). The QA consists of three criteria: QA1: Discuss e-government evaluation/measurement methods QA2: Research object: minimum at the country level QA3: Explain evaluation indicators Papers that met all these QA criteria were then analyzed to identify insights from the published e-government evaluation research, particularly regarding the subjects, objects, and evaluation indicators used.
