Survey data on students’ learning experience, engagement, and academic achievement in blended learning courses in engineering-related universities in Vietnam
Description
This dataset contains survey data on students’ learning experience, engagement, and academic achievement in blended learning courses at engineering-related universities in Vietnam. Data were collected through a structured online questionnaire administered via Google Forms and distributed to university students through academic groups and institutional channels. A total of 580 responses were initially collected. After screening for consent, eligibility, and response quality, 436 valid observations were retained in the refined analytical dataset. Data cleaning procedures included the removal of straight-lining responses and duplicate patterns to ensure data reliability. The dataset includes two main files: (i) a raw dataset containing all submitted responses, and (ii) a cleaned dataset used for analysis. In addition, the repository provides a detailed codebook, questionnaire (English and Vietnamese versions), informed consent forms, and a README file documenting data structure and processing steps. The survey instrument consists of multiple Likert-scale items measuring key constructs, including teaching presence, social presence, cognitive presence, instructional design quality, learning engagement, student engagement, and academic achievement, along with demographic variables. This dataset can be reused for descriptive analysis, scale validation, structural equation modeling (e.g., PLS-SEM), and comparative studies on blended learning and student outcomes in emerging higher education contexts.
