The existence of civic dispositions in students: A preliminary study

Description

This article describes the data set successfully obtained and collected through the field survey process related to measuring the level of civic disposition competence in students. It is collected between April 2023 and October 2023. This survey was conducted on 7th grade Junior High School students located in the Magelang region, Central Java, Indonesia, who were selected based on Junior High Schools operated and provided by the government and included in the urban area in the Magelang region, Central Java, Indonesia. Three Public Secondary Schools in Magelang City, Central Java, Indonesia, were selected based on the predetermined criteria. Therefore, this article will present a dataset that describes the factors and influences in the establishment of student character under the aspects and elements of the Civic Disposition competence as an effort to create citizens who are not only good but also intelligent so that they can face various challenges and obstacles in the future. In the data, the demographic characteristics of respondents (students) were divided into several aspects, including gender, class, and school origin. Meanwhile, the age of the respondents was not included in the characteristics of the respondents because the respondents (students) who participated in this study were only aimed at 7th-grade students. Therefore, based on this, the researcher assumes that it is unnecessary to include the respondents' age.
