Friction forces and relative displacements are given as a function of time. The relative displacement between the interfaces was measured using a single laser vibrometer. The friction force transmitted over the interfaces was measured using a load cell. The bolt preload was measured using a force washer. In addition, contact parameters (namely tangential contact stiffness and friction coefficient) were estimated. The bolted joint specimens under tests were made of ASTM 304 stainless steel. The tested bolts are class 8.8 M6 made of carbon steel. The roughness Ra of the contact surfaces of the joint samples is around 1 μm. These data can be reused for the calibration of contact models.
