Acute high salt diet on male and female wistar rats

Description

Data obtained from an acute high salt diet (8%NaCl) protocol on young adults male and female wistar rats during 7 days. The data includes observations on food and water intake, initial weight and weight gain. Data also includes spontaneous locomotor activity tests and a social preference test. Serum levels of urea, creatinine, sodium and proteins were also measured along with kidney TBARS levels. The levels of glucocorticoid receptor from hypothalamus was also investigated.
