Description

In this study we present the first dataset for the stable W isotope composition of representative terrestrial rocks from different magmatic settings including mid-ocean ridge basalts (MORBs), ocean island basalts (OIBs), various subduction related lavas and some marine sediments. In combination with major element concentration data and specific trace element ratio patterns we decipher the processes that control the stable W isotope compositions in different igneous reservoirs. Our results aid in better constraining the magmatic cycle of W in the silicate Earth.
