Description

Abstract A Fortran-77 program is presented which translates arrays of Cartesian coordinate triplets describing the surface of a 3D solid object into an input format defining the component surface elements which permit the entire surface to be plotted using standard software. Title of program: DC3DRAW Catalogue Id: ABTM_v1_0 Nature of problem While it is common to plot functions f(x,y) as 2D grid plots or contour maps, a more useful representation of a multidimensional function for many purposes is that which depicts surfaces satisfying the equation of constraint f(x,y,z) = K. Such surfaces have been referred to as isovalue surfaces and have been employed in fields as diverse as quantum mechanics and imaging technology.
