Description

This repository contains data of the article: Odériz, Itxaso; Silva, Rodolfo; Mortlock, Thomas; Mendoza, Edgar (2020), “Data for: Climate Drivers of Directional Wave Power on the Mexican Coast". Information is provided for the Mexican Coast with a 0.5º resolution in two folders: Folder 1) contains the monthly average of the parameters of wave power, mean wave direction, and components of the Wave Climate types (Extratropical Westerlies, Tropical Easterlies, and Subtropical Southerlies). Folder 2) contains the correlation coefficients between the wave parameters (wave power and wave direction; the time series were de-trended and the annual component removed) and the climate index ( ONI (Oceanic Nino Index) and PDO (Pacific Decadal Oscillation) and AMO (Atlantic Multi-decadal Oscillation)).
