Description

The data files in this archive are the results displayed in the paper "The Diurnal cycles of dust and water vapor as observed by EMIRS", by Michael D. Smith, Samuel A. Atwood, Khalid Badri, and Christopher S. Edwards. The paper has been submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research, Planets. The file "EMIRSclimatology.dat" contains the data used for Figure 1. The 6 columns are: 1. Ls 2. Latitude 3. Dust optical depth 4. Water ice optical depth 5. "T15" atmospheric temperature 6. Water vapor column The file "DustEffectiveHeight.dat" contains the data used for Figure 3. The 4 columns are: 1. Ls 2. Latitude 3. Effective height of dust in "AM" (Dawn) in scale heights 4. Effective height of dust in "PM" (Dusk) in scale heights The file "DiurnalDustStats.dat" contains the data used for Figure 4. The 4 columns are: 1. Ls 2. Latitude 3. Daytime dust optical depth change per hour 4. Dust optical depth during day minus that at night The file "DiurnalDustAve.dat" contains the data used for Figure 5. The 2 columns are: 1. Local Time (LTST) 2. Dust optical depth difference from diurnal mean The file "WaterVapor_deltaT.dat" contains the data used for Figure 7. The 4 columns are: 1. Ls 2. Latitude 3. deltaT value for "AM" (Dawn) 4. deltaT value for "PM" (Dusk) The file "WaterVaporTrends.dat" contains the data used for Figure 8. The 5 columns are: 1. Ls 2. Latitude 3. Water vapor at dusk minus that at dawn 4. Water vapor at midday minus the average of dawn and dusk values 5. Water vapor at midday minus that at night
