Description

SARS-CoV-2 crossed species barrier to infect human, possibly from Pangolin. The dataset is describing all the mutations found in Pangolin derived SARS-CoV-2 genome.

Steps to reproduce

The FASTA format file of the Pangolin derived SARS-CoV-2 Genome Sequences were downloaded from GISAID database. The Genome Sequences were analyzed using online tools NextClade of NextStrain (https://clades.nextstrain.org/). NextClade uses SARS-CoV-2 Wuhan-Hu-1/2019 (Accession # MN908947) isolate as a reference genome. The Algorithm was Sequence alignment, Translation, Mutation calling, Detection of PCR primer changes, Phylogenetic placement, Clade assignment and Quality Control. The data summarization and presentation were carried out using Microsoft Excel 2019. Every change in nucleotide sequences from reference strain, considered as a mutation if the change happened more than once in the genome.
