Description

This is raw and analysis data for empirical study, entitled entitled “Analysis of Users and Non-users in Technology Acceptance: From the Perspectives of Public Cloud Storage Services in South Korea”. This study amied to identify the differences between users and non-users at the individual level in relation to accepting public cloud storage services (PCSSs) in South Korea. Our focus is individual- level technology acceptance in environments where use of PCSSs is voluntary. A total of 397 samples (users= 210; non-users= 187) were analyzed using the structural equation modeling. Based on extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2), IBM SPSS AMOS 23 tool was used for data analysis. The findings of our study differed in several ways from other previous studies. These empirical results can provide academic researchers and businesses with insights on individual-level adoption of cloud computing.

Steps to reproduce

First, if you were a Korean-speaking researcher, you can use the survey questionnaire in Korean version (1. Survey questionnaire in Korean). If you were an English-speaking researcher, you can use Appendix A (2. Appendix B_Measurement Items) in the survey questionnaire folder. Second, you can find three excel files in the raw data folder. The file “3. Original Whole User and Nonusers Data” was initially collected data. The file “User Data (210)” was obtained from three screening questions for this study’ purpose, suggested by “3.3. Sample and Data Collection” of this research paper. You can test the file “4. User Data (210)” and “5. Nonusers Data (187)” for experimental repetability. Thrid, there are 16 files in Analysis data folder. You can analyze one after another in the way presented in the paper. In particular, some files are not included in the paper (“14. CR (Composite Reliability) Calculations for Table 4”, “15. AVE (Average Variance Extracted) Calculations for Table 4”, “16. Table 5_Discriminant validity (with this article)”, “21. Average Internet Usage in South Korea (KISA)”). You can make specific calculations using them.
