Description

Vertical jumping is a difficult human movement requiring a lot of upper and lower body motor coordination. Vertical leaping is a vital and desirable component in many sports, that is basketball and volleyball. One essential locomotor ability is the vertical leap. The Sargent test has evolved into a common assessment method for both adults and kids. Therefore, the purpose of the current study is to find out the normative reference value of vertical jump test in school going children (8 to 14 years of age) in different body composition.

Steps to reproduce

The study was carried out using a purposive sampling strategy, and 210 healthy people between the ages of 8 and 14 underwent the vertical jump test. 10 people in each age group, with varying BMI and WHR, were enlisted.
