Description

The data set represents oribatid mite species abundance data for Sairme gorge (Lesser Caucasus, Georgia). In 2013, mites were sampled from 600 m a.s.l. up to 2200 m with constant distance (200 m) between elevational bands (9 in total). At each elevation 3 replicate were made with 50 m minimum distances between replicates. Data set also contains some environmental variables (in a second sheet) such as pH, slope etc, and calculated diversity indexes. The data was used in an article published in Experimental and Applied Acarology (DOI 10.1007/s10493-015-9893-4).
