The two datasets are for the paper entitled Childhood unpredictability, life history, and intuition versus deliberation cognitive styles. The authors investigated the relationships among childhood unpredictability, slow life history strategies, and self-report preference for deliberation (Study 1); and the interaction between childhood unpredictability and experimental conditions (mortality cues priming vs. control) on participants' performance on the Cognitive Reflection Test that was a behavioral indicator of intuitive vs. deliberate cognitive styles (Study 2).
