Description

This cross section data set for the year 2016 can be broadly split into two categories, which include: (i) data on international and intra-national trade; and (ii) data on standard geographical gravity variables The data on aggregated bilateral trade flows comes from the International Monetary Fund’s Direction of Trade Statistics. The data on intra-national or domestic trade flows has been taken from the International Trade and Production Database for Estimation of the United States International Trade Commission. Data on standard geographical gravity variables - bilateral distance and contiguous border has been taken from the Centre d’Etudes Prospectives et d’Informations Internationales Geo Dist Database
