Description

The results of CAE modeling of thermal conductivity properties of porous materials based on TPMS Schwarz P, Neovius, Schoen IWP are presented. The data can be used for creating materials with pre-defined thermal conductivity characteristics. The parameter "a" represents the size of the cube in which one elementary cell is inscribed. The wall thickness characterizes the thickness of the solid layer limited by symmetrical equidistant surfaces from the original TPMS. The results are presented for porous materials with air inside the inter-pore space as well as for the structure in a vacuum (without considering air in the inter-pore space).

Steps to reproduce

The modeling was performed using finite element analysis (numerical methods) implemented in the software package Ansys. Additionally, the Representative Elementary Volume method and homogenization of the porous material were applied.
